Ok... maths was a nightmare. I could only like do half of the questions. Hahahaha... i feel screwed. Sorta expected it. HC math department never fails to bedazzle us with their COMPLEX questions that are beyond the NORMAL tutorial questions. Imagine if every question wasn't tutorial standard. -.- And we already have problems solving some of the tutorial questions alone. Yikes lar.

 

Oh well. Physics paper 3 is definitely going to be tough. But im not giving up on it yet. =P

 

Ooooo felt sooo liberated after maths yesterday.

Went out with the class.

Felt kinda surreal. hahaha...

Went to eat mad jacks... ate their platable fish & chips, while we gossiped and ranted about our little JC lives.

Then we went to watch TRANSFORMERS!

 

oh gawd. So much for the over-hyped publicity.

Seriously, overrated. Its not that nice leh. (this is only an OPINION, before any transformer fanatics start marring my guestbook with defamatory pro-transformers crap)

The usual robot action, CGI.... looked very usual and oh well... typical. The scenes of devastation.. LOL i think you can get it on Channel News Asia for free. Looks like the scene of some terrorist attack. The plot is also scattered with too many characters and a serious lack of character development. =( Half the time, eyes were focused on that hot char bo friend of the protagonist.

 

Haiz disappointed with steve speilberg and micheal bay i guess. Oh and bumblebee is some HOT sports car and not the cute vintage beetle car that i like. =(

 

Distortion of childhood fantasy!!! No wonder michael bay got blasted by transformers fans.

 

Oh well. Physics awaits me once again.

Recently there has been tons of debate on the newspaper about the uni admissions to various faculties... ehhh it looks to me that the OMG singapore university is like now super hard to get in.

 

EVEN FASS IS HARD!!! (arts n social sciences)

Last time according to my aunt (she was from there), it was like a sure in faculty... BDE also can get in... Now leh.. omg... BCE + GP A1 kanna rejected. Hmmm then alot of people kpkb on the internet forums.

 

Aiyo... fass already like that....

I think biz/law, med, pharm, dentistry all OMG hard to get in le lar.

 

Been reading people's past experiences....

It seems that TONs of people with 4 As + GP A1 + 2S distinctions + CIP OMG HOURS. Got rejected. Hmmm and yet there are people with 3As + GP b3 but good CCA and ok CIP and pw band 1 got in.

 

Oh... and they also say that hospital attachments are useless... Cuz got one girl had like 3... and a perfect score... still cannot get in. OMG... And the CIP... so many also no use. -.-

Law/Biz, Med... i dun think they really look up for CIP bah... they only want to know that you have done enough.

 

I think the interview is more impt? Hmmm perhaps they want to know your life experiences... not how many hospital attachments you have and how many CIP you do.  

 

Ahhh... but grades are still the main thing they look before they look at the other aspects.

Memorable i guess...

 

So i started the day pottering around the house. Getting the food ready and tables and bbq pit... blah blah. Hahaha.... oh.. and i realised that i needed to buy sparklers. Things would just not be right without it.

Anyway...

 

After all the preparations... it was about 2.30pm.. haha...i tried to study. But i just couldn't concentrate lar. Haha... so i just went to watch family guy on you tube. LOL. I was quite excited over it bah. Haha... couldn't wait to see friends that are sooo good. =D

 

So at 3.30pm i left my house to pick the people up... hehe... but before that... OMG i had such a bitch of a time searching for sparklers. Darn it. Went to popular, random shops, MORE random shops... haha basically combed the whole of ang mo kio central already lar. But it was worth it =D

Finally found it in some small shop that sold it in packs of 20 LOL....

 

Argh... but by that time.. i was running late le. LOL.... got so many SMSes that people are coming late. oh well. But at least EVERYONE CAME... thats a feat =D considering many committee/council outing end up with missing sheeps.

 

Oooo then when i reached there, only ravi, tc and carmen was there. Jia an wanted to head there straight. Chio had LUNCH and would be goin straight. The rest were late. LOL ok lar Tailiwei and hongyi were shopping at NTUC...before they arrived. Ok i think they were shopping before that. Hahah. Ah heng was still chugging along in the MRT... at newton when we called her.

 

It was like after 20 mins that everyone came. =D Haha... then we headed back to my humble abode. When we reached the busstop. LOL  saw jia an sitting there and in rather formal attire. GREEN POLO hhahaa. (Okay lar, quite nice =D)  Hmmm then we just bbqed and eat eat eat =D Talk talk talk... haha.. quite nice to be able to talk over food for such a long time... especially when you don't really have the chance to talk to these peeps after stepping down. Talked about soo many things.... haha... so long. And everyone seemed comfortable. haha....

 

Oh and i realised somethin weird. Haha.....MANY WANTED TO DO THE BBQING.  THats sooo imba rare. Normally when i go to those bbqs... usually only SOME people volunteer... haha... i guess these group of people consisted of ALL the volunteers... hahaahaha... what does that mean? Hmmmm... i think we are just nice people. haha.

 

So we eat and talk eat and talk. Oooo ah heng brought kueh. LOL We were talking about it being fats+sugar+coconut milk. Hahahahahaa... pure calories! Anti-bimbo food. Oh well. but we all ate it. Hahaha. Does that imply that we are not bimbos... Hmmm. Oooo and tailiwei bought some bacon + JIN ZHEN GU thingie. I think that its nice... LOL but the overheated BBQ flames ravaged the JIN ZHEN GUs and they became little shrivelled thingies. LOL oh well nvm the bacon is nice. Haha. Ding ding and hongyi were drinking the liquor. And tailiwei loves heiniken!! OMG. Oh and she is reulsive to satay. OOOOoo utter weirdness. Hmmm LIQUOR tastes bad. omg lar. So much for being legal. It sooo bitter. Especially with the barons strong brew thingie. Mega bitter. Urgh. Oooo then after a while......

 

 

We started playing SPARKLERS. Weeee ahahahaahahah.... like the old times. Lit using the BBQ fire. hahahaa. The sparklers released those whistling noises. Hahaha ... so nice.... sparkle sparkle... just like the fun times we had.

 

Hmmm actually i choosed sparklers...not only becoz i thought of re-enacting that night we played around in school after work session. But also the fact that i found meaning in that transient item.

 

Sparklers.... that last for such a short time. Haha. Just like the fun times. In a flash... then fizzle. Its done. Leaves you with a feeling yearning for more... haha... And when it runs out. Poof.... leaves u with some weird feeling. Hmmm. Oh well... haha sparklers... we can still buy some more i guess... provided that you have the cash. But times like this... haha... hard to come by bah.

 

Weeeeeee lamed around with the sparklers for quite sometime.... experimented with combusting the alcohol. Hahahaha... but cannot really combust leh. Oooo but we managed to combust the alcohol vapour above the beer bottles. =D I think jia an was releasing his SRP instincts by trying to combust the alcohol. Haha... he keep poking the alcohol with the sparkler. The rest were enjoying it. Hahaha chio was scampering around like some rabid bunny. LOL We were seriously like some bunch of childhood-deprived kids. Hahahha... play until the road outside my house. LOL....  haha... it was fun! I love the way a sparkler glows inside a bottle. Looks rather etheral and dreamy. Hahaha... must be the smoke.

 

Not bad...cleared up quite fast! And went to my little room. Hahaa... mega hot lar. Duhduhma weather. Horrid. LOL.... i guessed we found amusement in various things. From bridge, to my flutes, to DOTA, to Shrek 2. Hahaha... oh and the astrology books. Hmmmm quite cozy to have everyone in the room. Hahah...

 

10 plus... haha scurried home... after all we need to study. =D

Both her friends were already living in NY for about 3 years or so. But she was only there for a visit. So after walking around NY... she asked both her friends.... Do you guys still miss singapore???

In NY... things may be more inefficient... but at least its more transparent.

The city folks might be bursque, but they are still helpful.

LOL.... this is what other countries have that SG lacks. Life... is full of possibilities... good and bad... many ways to make it big! No stinky guidelines set by the social norm. Anyone can make it. Not that you cannot make it mainstream, and get dumped into a lousier stream.... thats seriously not the way. The social norm just serves to confine people to what they think they are....(no wonder motivational speakers EARN so MUCH in Singapore..)

4. Engineer! ( ehhh, ok lar at least can have a stable income)

Ahhh i barely survived the harsh cold of the container classroom that i was allocated in. Brrrr... and i was wearing berms. WOW... My hairless legs were totally freezing into popsicles.  Thank god i had a jacket... if not arh.. DIE.

 

Oh yar... my classroom was filled with PRCs... hmm ok lar... got some indians. And ONE japanese. LOL gibberish speech and over-the-top dressing. Quite obvious to spot a jap gal. Especially with those socks so high that you can hide a boomstick in it.

Blah.. SATs is a OMG 10 -section torture sessions taht stir fries your brain thoroughly. All those grammar sentence errors can send any english teacher into desperation. Ok...maybe not so bad lar. LOL

 

Maths was free frag. No wonder they argue that americans overlook science and math... DUh... quite obvious right? JC already still do such math... I think the PSLE kids in SG are damm poor thing like that lar... -.-

 

Ahhh ok lar i shall stop being an idiot about my SATs and await the announcement for my results in two weeks time.
