Urgh... i just did my 4 hour maths TYS.... Ewwwwwwness... but no doubt its much much better than doing the prelim questions... I guess i just have to keep going... Have Faith in these dark times. =D

On the other hand... people around me and crumbling into the abyss of dismal disappointment.. The world seems tumbling down on em... with almost all grade hitting rock bottom.  Oh wells.... while its really quite sad to see so many sad and emo faces around the class... we must remember that we must HOLD ON now!!!

 

haha... i guess we are like that becoz of the perspective of life we are living in... I mean for us "meritocratic"  singaporeans... we live a life where students are held in regard for their academic achievements.....adults are reknowned for their status (mostly financially), the elderly are respected for their compounded achievements in their previous 2 lifespans. Haha fail to meet the demands of society and what do you get?

 

Society would beam down on you a WTF-look and slap you with its cold palms. Not mention imprinting a large L on your forehead.

 

Bah.... apparently life becomes really sad when you are not an overachieving bugger. 

 

Besides all the madness and obsession with academic accreditation. The dark sides of society sweeps through with its ill effects of social politics and superficiality.

 

OOoooo im soooooooooooooooooooo not excited about such a society.... But yet im already embedded in it. ZZzzzz haha we cannot escape from it leh... Zzzzz i can totally hear my father ranting on the importance of a firm financial status and large social circle....

Sometimes, i really fantasize that im a novel writer spending my days lounging in a cafe in the busy streets of Paris... sipping a simple latte and penning my next Avant-Garde epic tale about the life of an average singaporean teenager. Ohh.... but to do that i have to be educated... Haha... oh wells.... thats sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo impractical and my dad would probably disown me before i can even pen down the opening for the novel.

 

Haha.... i guess i have to still carry on with the tedious and icky academics in my life for the time being. And try to get into med school.... cuz thats like my desired career...........haha although i know its a ridiculously uphill task. Press On!!! I shall wield a scalpel and sashay in a doc's lab coat.

Ahhh the steamboat was at Zhenfa... OMG, WTF... i swore off not to go to that smoky choky steamboat ghetto like last year... Eeeekz... it was smoky, hot, dinghy, and there were some ah lians that were blowing cigarette smoke at us from the other table... I think lots of it went into hengjie's hair. LOL I wanted to lob an excess uncooked slab of chicken meat at that ewwwish ah lian's hair lar.... but then i figured such behaviour would be rather ah lian as well, so i halted my ill intentions. Haha... but i always marvelled at the evil possibilities of a slab of marinated chicken in long badly dyed hair. LOL evilness. Anyway... i ate mainly chicken, pork and mushrooms. Haha... in the name of avoiding diarrhea i avoided sea food. EEeeeekz but i think its prolly not going to work and i would prolly suffer the ill fate of diarrhea as i forgottened that one of my chopsticks had fallen to the icky ground.... oh nos....must be karma for my ill intentions on that ah lian. But she was really zzz lar.... blowing smoke at us... wth... utterly unglam and unrefined crude low-down behaviour.... and also polluting the environment.... green-peace should hunt her down. And in terms of economics... she is positively a negative externality. Oh my im wasting blogspace on a freakin ah lian... Ahhh but nevermind... Haha... i get kicks for dissing ah lians online. (oh nos im sucha meanie)

Anyways back to the food.... josh was virtually deep frying his food lar... wth...its like swimming in oil .... LOL haha we all didn't want to eat his meats drenched in edible hydrocarbons... it was soooo...... oily to the extent that you can see the oil dripping.......like drop after drop... bound to cuz a heart attack in the near future =D And the other side of the table was mass seafooding... omg.... i just cannot digest or egest seafood under such conditions... lol... the thought of possible food poisoning irks me.  Oh well but they seem to have no probs gobbling down all those seafood...

 

We also snuck out to buy drinks from the kite stall nearby..... lol... 1.50 for a can is totally ripoffish...

 

Weee then after dinner we hopped to suntec starbucks for a drink.... tried the green tea frapp with guotong. Haha quite obvious she prefered Chio's vanilla latte over the green tea frapp. Oh and we had fun bluffing LIONel chen that his green tea frapp was a wasabi frapp instead.... oh well , after all its his virgin trip to starbucks.

 

Then we just talk talk talk talk talk talk.... lol a large range of topics... from medicine, US education, homosexuality (due to that RI teacher incident), our council jackets' plight, the school admin, mr ang, our juniors (we concluded that my welco junior daryl is teh cutest, ain't i proud being his senior =D ), MAF 07, the maf teahouse. Haha what a wide range of topics. Then we decided to send an encouraging promo message to our juniors simultaneously. Haha.... But only one replied. =/ Haha but its my OTHER junior. hahahaa....

 

Oooo our chairwoman got us some red laterns... haha no right opportunity to use it this time... but i will keep it. =D Ohhh... but chio and yawen still persisted a played with the lanterns. WTH... they carried it from suntec to citylink... its a wonder that the smoke detectors didn't go. Haha.... we would be in great great trouble otherwise. =P

Oh well i guess the concert went well. LOL although we looked rather desprate especially with the dastard lack of appropiate equipment.

Then we went to eat at Melvados...that place with like almost no one most of the time. Hahaha... Ok.. i guessed i was lucky that i was gentlemenly enuff to let daph and liwai take the last two carbonarras.... =P Haha apparently it tasted like crap. =/ Sorry gals~ i didn't know it was so bad. My beef stew was... ehhh ok lar. Loads of bell peppers though.

Then we went to play pool.... Urgh my skill has deteoriated exponentially... zzzzzz no more zigzag balls. =/ Ahhh i need to play more... haha i shall become a delinquent after As and just pool my life away like what i did last time after Os.... Oooo Mich is improving ~ Regina was getting high over pool -.- The rest felt at home with the game i guess. Haha...ok Junyu was feeling rather disturbed with his random bout of misperformance.  Dun worry junyu, skills erode but you can get them back!
